Judith Mohr, LMSW
With 23 years of experience in Human Services, Judith has worked with children, adolescents and families in school settings, private mental health and community service agencies. She completed her undergraduate and post graduate work at Columbia and Yale Universities in educational psychology and child development. Two master’s degrees in Social Work and Women’s Studies at SCSU followed work with Edward Zigler as a Fellow in Child Development & Social Policy at Yale.
Judith supports children, teenagers and adults. She works with Young Children, Adolescents and Young Adults with Anxiety, Depression, Nonadaptive Behavior, Learning and School-related problems including ADHD, Self Esteem & Self Agency, Social Pressures/Bullying, and Issues of the Talented/Gifted. She uses evidence-based therapeutic treatment in clinical sessions that focus on person-centered strengths, developing and maintaining motivation, problem-solving and performance. The session work encompasses building cognitive and coping skills for awareness and management of self; sessions continue with learning social-emotional-situational skills to recognize, understand and express feelings; and with fostering communication and nonverbal skills to regulate behavior with peers, teachers, parents, and family.
Judith also helps Adults with Stress/Distress Management, Anxiety, Depression, Adult ADHD, Parent-Child Relationship, Grief & Loss, Illness & Disability, Life-Change Issues and Trauma.
